The International Celiac Disease Symposium (ICDS) happens every 2 years. It's where the top celiac researchers, doctors and advocacy groups convene to discuss the future of celiac disease diagnosis and treatment. This past October, ICDS was in Sorrento, Italy. Mike and Cam are excited to bring Dr. Denis Chang and Vanessa Weisbrod, of The Celiac Disease Program at Boston Children's Hospital, who both attended ICDS, to share some of their top takeaways. There was so much great information that we made it a two part podcast. In part 1, join us to hear about new approaches to diagnosing celiac disease, why the diet and lifestyle is not a "one size fits all" treatment, and so much more!
Do you suffer from skin irritations or flare ups due to celiac disease or gluten intolerance? Mike and Cam reveal some of their own struggles with skin issues while discussing some of the common skin conditions that can present to people with gluten intolerance and celiac disease, including: DH, eczema, alopecia and more. They also share some tips on what you can do to help minimize those itchy and irritating skin outbreaks that are no fun at all.
Ring in the New Year with a fun and festive episode, part 2 of our epic Holiday podcast party! Mike and Cam are excited to welcome back our 3 special guests; Craig Carlino, Lyle Smart and Craig Hardgrove as they continue to work their way through 9 of Groundbreaker Brewing's amazing gluten free beers. All five guys look ahead to 2023, sharing their hopes as well as trying to predict what lies ahead for the gluten free and celiac community. Whether simple and straightforward, like hopes for expanded treatment options, or seemingly insurmountable, like NASA Craig who's just looking for a good gluten free Italian Beef sandwich, it'll have you laughing your way into 2023 :)
